General information only
The content of this site is patient education. It describes what produces a jowl, what can and cannot change it, and what treatment costs in recovery and risk. It is not a diagnosis, it is not a treatment recommendation for any individual, and it does not create a doctor-patient relationship.
No substitute for examination
Whether a lift is appropriate for you depends on findings that can only be established by examining you: what has descended, how the skin behaves, what lies beneath it, the projection of the chin, the bite, your weight history and your expectations. Reading this site cannot substitute for that, and a decision made from a website alone is a decision made without information.
Results vary and are not guaranteed
Individual results differ. Scars are permanent. Healing takes months and the final appearance is judged at 6 to 12 months. No surgeon, and no website, can guarantee an outcome, and any statement that appears to promise one should be treated with suspicion wherever you encounter it.
If something is wrong after surgery
If you have had surgery and develop rapidly increasing swelling, a tense painful area, spreading redness, fever, bleeding that does not stop, a new facial droop or numbness, or difficulty breathing, contact the treating team or seek emergency care immediately rather than waiting to be seen at a routine appointment.
